To hang bird house:

- Unscrew to remove finial and roof; then remove screw that previously held roof in place.

- Feed end of rope through hole in rope guide and pull back up and out as shown.

- Tie a knot at the bottom end of rope and pull rope up by the other end until it stops at the knot.

- Feed top end of rope through roof and finial.

To post-mount bird house:

- Unscrew to revove finial and roof.

- Place house on a wooden post.

- Using a long-handled screwdriver, drive a flathead wood screw (#6 recommended) through the base, into the post below.

- Replace roof and finial.
