Dalen Products Opens New Warehouse/Distribution Facility

KNOXVILLE, TENN. – Dalen Products has announced the opening of a new 73,000 square foot facility in Knoxville, TN. Dalen is a rapidly growing lawn & garden manufacturer with entry into new product categories like bird feeders and kid’s gardening products.

According to company president, David Caldwell, the new warehouse and distribution center consolidates all operations into one location. "The new space has been built adjacent to our corporate offices and manufacturing operation. For the past several years we’ve had an off-site facility," said Caldwell. "We are pleased to bring all our resources back to our main plant."

In making the announcement Caldwell said, "We now have an infrastructure that can accommodate all of Dalen’s needs. This new space will support growth of Weed-X® and Weed-Proof® landscape fabric, as well as our Gardeneer® brand retail business." Dalen’s customer base includes Wal-Mart, Ace and True Value hardware stores, and many regional and independent retailers nationwide.

The company celebrated the Grand Opening of their new facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, March 10, 2003. Local dignitaries included Knox County Executive, Mike Ragsdale and County Commissioners John Griess and Craig Leuthold. Neal Caldwell, founder and chairman of Dalen, spoke of Dalen’s many accomplishments over the past 28 years, when he started the business with a single product sold to mail-order catalogs.

Knoxville-based Dalen Products is a leading manufacturer of landscape fabrics, garden netting and fencing, scarecrow devices, decorative fencing and edging, birding and other yard and garden products for use by both homeowners and landscapers.
